The photographs of Fragments reveal three of the projects that are finalists in the competition
Architecture Girona Awards
The 18th edition of the Architecture Awards of the Counties of Girona now has its finalists, and three of them include the photographs of Marc Torra, the soul behind Fragments.
The jury, which was presided over by Slovenian architect Matija Bevk and made up of members Anna Bach, Xevi Bayona and Pere Joan Ravetllat, has chosen 16 of the 61 works submitted to the competition, which this year celebrates its 18th anniversary with the clear goal of promoting architecture as a cultural asset.
We at Fragments would like to wish all the contestants the best of luck, especially the three finalists who have placed their trust in our architectural photography:
In the category of Architecture:
Reconstruction and enlargement of Can Calau estate in Begudà, by Montserrat Nogués, architect.
In the category of Ephemeral Spaces:
Travelling Origami at the Headquarters of the Girona Branch of the College of Architects of Catalonia and the Alt Empordà and Garrotxa-Ripollès branches, by M. Clara Riera, Pere Fina and Albert Bosch, architects.
In the category of Urban Planning and Landscaping:
Organisation and refurbishment of the inner block courtyard in Olot, by Joel Padrosa, architecture student.
The prizes will be awarded on Friday the 5th of June at 7:30 pm at the headquarters of the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) in Girona (Pl. de la Catedral 8), which is organising the event.
